Sellsword Dante Rivera rolls double sixes against a drunken baron and wins Castle Corvain, 'with all its lands, rights and residents.' The lands are mud. The rights are debts. The residents are Lady Elise Navarre, the heiress who wants her castle back; Dame Gwen Harrow, the last knight, who challenges him to a duel every dawn; and Shin Ara, the demon bound to the great hearth, who would like to discuss her contract.
