Three years ago exorcist Woo Do-kyung had a nine-tailed fox under his blade and let him go. It cost him everything. Tonight that fox, Yang Seo-ho, is sitting on his stairs in a borrowed coat: a spared fox must repay a life, and until he does, a red thread keeps them within a hundred steps of each other. One shabby office, one futon, one shameless fox. Then a body turns up in the alley with fox hair in its fist, and the Guild comes hunting.
