Exiled Prince Seol Ji-hwan, the man the north calls Winter, has spent seven years alone in a fortress of glacier ice, where everything he touches freezes. Now the frozen sea beneath his kingdom is cracking early, and the old law is merciless: wed by the spring equinox, or the realm drowns. Three brides fight through the blizzard to claim him: a fen witch, a corsair queen and the court's cold ice-reader. One was sent to stop the wedding. All three want to be the one he lets touch him.
